NTA Announces JEE (Main) 2026 Exam Dates for January and April Sessions

The NTA has announced that JEE (Main) 2026 will be held in two sessions — January 21 to 30 and April 1 to 10. Registrations for Session 1 begin in October 2025, and Session 2 in late January 2026. The exam will be conducted online in CBT mode across India.
The National Testing Agency (NTA), responsible for conducting national-level engineering entrance exams in India, has officially announced the schedule for JEE (Main) 2026. According to the public advisory issued on 19 October 2025, the exam will be held in two sessions:
- Session 1: 21 January 2026 to 30 January 2026
- Session 2: 1 April 2026 to 10 April 2026
Registration Details
- The online application for Session 1 is set to open in October 2025.
- For Session 2, the registration window will open in the last week of January 2026.
Key Changes and Instructions
- NTA will use Aadhaar-linked data (name, date of birth, gender, photograph, address) from the UIDAI database to auto-fill some candidate details, aiming to reduce entry errors.
- The agency is working to expand the number of exam cities across India, including for candidates with disabilities (PwD/PwBD), to make access more convenient.
- As always, the exam will be in CBT mode, and aspirants are advised to keep checking the official portal for detailed information on syllabus updates, exam timings, and admit card release.
